Crossplay board layout

  • 3W Triple word: 8 squares, three in from each corner along the edges
  • 2W Double word: 8 squares
  • 3L Triple letter: 20 squares, including all four corners
  • 2L Double letter: 20 squares
  • ★ Center: your first word must cover it; it has no bonus

There are no word multipliers in the 49 squares around the center, so short opening words score face value. The big word bonuses sit near the edges, which makes lanes to the edge worth fighting over. The Crossplay solver uses this exact layout when it scores moves. Layout as published in TheWordFinder: Crossplay vs Scrabble (September 24, 2026).
